WPR Topping Out Ceremony

On October 18 the WPR staff, advisory board, WSD3 Board of Education, and a variety of stakeholders celebrated the topping out of the recreation center. Topping out is the placing of the last steel beam at the top of the building and symbolizes completion of the structure. The celebration also means we are getting closer to finishing the recreation center. We are still targeting an early July opening. Membership details and pricing will be published in January of 2023.

Impact of Construction

During the twelve month construction period, our campus will see several impacts. Parking lots, road ways, and sidewalks will have changes and improvements. This will make the campus easier to navigate and more accessible. Unfortunately during construction, some areas will be closed off and parking will be limited. The new recreation center and campus roadway improvements will allow us to better serve the community needs in the future. We apologize for the temporary inconvenience.

We invite you to visit our WPR Recreation Center webpage for the most up to date information on the new recreation center.
