Move With Us!

3rd Annual Tracy Vsetecka Memorial Walk Saturday, July 24 @ 8am. Tracy Vsetecka was a principal in the Widefield School District for over 13 years. Her unexpected passing affected many throughout the community. Her family has joined with Widefield Parks and Recreation and Woodland Wanderers to extend her celebration of life and enjoyment of exercise to the community with a noncompetitive walking event in her honor. Tracy's engaging presence, positive nature, and ever-present smile made a lasting impact on all she knew and those she had only just met. Join us for a walk down memory lane and an opportunity to donate to the Tracy Vsetecka Scholarship Fund (https://widefield.revtrak.net/administration/#/v/tracy-vsetecka-scholarship) to continue her legacy. Shirts/Apparel can be purchased online at the TracyWalkStore. Sale proceeds will be donated to her scholarship. Deadline for ordering will be June 27. All purchased items can be picked up at Widefield Parks and Recreation after July 12 or the day of the event. The walk will begin and end on the Widick Field at the Widefield Parks & Recreation campus.

Our 2021 Minutes Activity Challenge is underway! Start filling out the weekly log to reach the goal of 2,021 total minutes of activity. Facility Expansion

We are excited to share with you some new possibilities because of our growth and prosperity.  Data collected over the past five years overwhelmingly support expansion of programming and facilities. Specific facility needs are a multi-use field house, fitness areas to include an indoor walking track, group exercise rooms, and an area for weight lifting, community rooms, and staff office space. As a part of making our main campus located at 705 Aspen Drive a community hub, we have started to explore options for constructing a building that would better meet the needs.

We invite you to visit our Facility Expansion webpage located on our website. The webpage will be updated regularly with new information as we move through this process. New concept plans and a community presentation were added recently.
