Move With Us!

3rd Annual Tracy Vsetecka Memorial Walk Saturday, July 24 @ 8am. Tracy Vsetecka was a principal in Widefield School District for over 13 years. Her unexpected passing affected many throughout the community. Her family has joined with Widefield Parks and Recreation and Woodland Wanderers to extend her celebration of life and enjoyment of exercise to the community with a noncompetitive walking event in her honor. Tracy's engaging presence, positive nature, and ever-present smile made a lasting impact on all she knew and those she had only just met. Join us for a walk down memory lane and an opportunity to donate to the Tracy Vsetecka Scholarship Fund to continue her legacy.  All purchased items from the TracyWalkStore can be picked up at Widefield Parks and Recreation after July 12 or the day of the event. The walk will begin and end on the Widick Field on the Widefield Parks and Recreation campus. Various activities will take place on the WPR campus throughout the day!

Facility Expansion

We are excited to share with you some new possibilities because of our growth and prosperity. Data collected over the past five years overwhelmingly support expansion of programming and facilities. Specific facility needs are a multi-use field house, fitness areas to include an indoor walking track, group exercise rooms, and an area for weight-lifting, community rooms, and staff office space. As a part of making our main campus located at 705 Aspen Drive a community hub, we have started to explore options for constructing a building that would better meet the needs.

We invite you to visit our Facility Expansion webpage. The webpage will be updated regularly with new information as we move through this process. New concept plans and a community presentation were added recently.
