Celebrate With Us!

Celebration at the Pool 
Cheers to a new year! Come to the pool to share your new year’s resolution with us - maybe it's getting to the top of the rock wall, or getting all the way across the Wibit Bridge! Come celebrate 2022 with us on January 8 from 1 - 2:30pm! $2 special event admission fee. Please register your party for guaranteed entry! 

Friend’s Night Out
In partnership with the Security Public Library, we are proud to host this Free event to highlight our programs and offerings and give back to our friends in the community. Join us on January 27 from 6 - 8pm for make-n-takes, fitness classes, chair massages, a blind date with a book, refreshments, and more. The first 75 in the door receive a goody bag. Ages 18 & up. Location: French Elementary, 5225 Alturas Drive, 80911.

Join us for a virtual art challenge! Each month there will be a new theme for the challenge. All entries will be posted on social media for the public to vote for a winner! Please submit a photo of your entry to by 11:59pm on January 23. 
January’s Theme: Photography. Winner will be announced on January 28. 

Painting P-Art-Y - Winter Cardinal 
This adult painting class is for beginners and seasoned painters alike. You will be taken step-by-step through a winter cardinal scene to take home and enjoy. Participants will learn mixing techniques and layering effects; no previous knowledge is necessary. Our art instructor directs you through the painting process to help bring out your inner artist. Every student will walk away with a canvas painting. No need to bring anything with you, except your creativity! Fee: $20. Ages: 18 and up. Register by January 19.  

Play With Us!

Come splash with us during Winter Break! We will have 1 - 2:30pm open swim sessions January 3 and 4! Patrons must register each person in their party on SignUp prior to open swim. See our website for current Open Swim Hours

Get your team together and register for the Adult Volleyball Indoor League this winter. The recreational league (self-officiated) has a fee of $120 and the competitive league has a fee of $240. Each league will consist of eight games. Prizes for the winners! - REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!

Come learn the fundamentals of the fastest growing sport in America! Pickleball lessons are now being offered! Sessions are a total of 4 hours, Monday through Thursday. Only $20! Sounds like a great Dill! Make sure you register for our January beginner or intermediate lessons! Relish the opportunity! 

Be sure to check the pickleball page to see when we have open gym play. Drop-ins are FREE!

Spring Soccer & Cheerleading registration is now open.  Sign up to learn fundamentals of the sports in these 5-game outdoor leagues!

Challenger soccer is back with Tiny Tykes & Camps.  There will be a Winter Tiny Tykes session beginning on January 22 and a Spring Tiny Tykes session starting April 2.  Tiny Tykes is an exciting soccer child development program for ages 2-5 years.  Challenger is also bringing back the Spring Break Soccer Camp for 6-10 year olds!  Register now at before all the spots are filled! 

Move With Us!

Martial Arts January & February registration is open. With martial arts as a foundation, participants have the opportunity to develop self-awareness and self-confidence. GOJO-RYU KARATE is a comprehensive martial art derived from the Okinawan system of self-defense. Participants of all skill levels can benefit from this program by relieving stress, help with weight loss, coordination, balance, flexibility, stamina, and assist in self-control. Ages 7 and up. Mondays & Wednesdays from 6 - 7:30pm at North Preschool. Register by January 10. 

Yogi Kids - Session 3 
Join this introductory class that focuses on relaxation, fun, and movement! Yoga is a great activity to start at a young age, it enhances flexibility, strength, coordination, body awareness, and confidence. Fee: $40. Ages: 6-11. 

Monday 6pm Zumba is now Pound and Thursday 6pm Zumba is now Zumba Gold. View our current schedule or pick one up in the office. Drop in for only $3 per class!

Creative Kids & Terrific Tots Preschool
There are limited spots in our Preschool classes for the 2021/2022 school year! We offer separate programs for 3 and 4 year olds in order to meet the needs of each student, providing them the opportunity to love learning while preparing them for Kindergarten. Check the Preschool page on our website for details. Register now to secure your child's spot!

CPR & First Aid - Blended Learning
This is a blended learning course including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session. The classroom skills session is on February 12 from 9 - 11am. You will learn how to recognize and treat the following conditions and emergencies: unconsciousness, broken bones, head, neck, and back injuries, stroke, diabetic emergencies, seizures, fainting, poisoning, recognizing signals of heart attack, and more.The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion. Allow approximately 3 hours to complete the online portion. Adult First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years. Fee: $70. Ages: 11+. Register by February 4.  

Lifeguard Training
Provides entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over. Participants who successfully complete the Lifeguarding course receive an American Red Cross certification for oxygen administration, valid for 1 year and Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED, valid for 2 years. Participants must be 15 years or older and meet prerequisites. Register by January 24th.
Class Dates: February 4 & 11 @ 4 - 7pm and February 5 & 12 @ 7am - 3pm
Location: Parks & Recreation Pool
Cost: $150/participant per 4-day session (*If you are hired on with us as a Lifeguard, we will reimburse the $150 fee after 150 hours of work!)

Facility Expansion

We are excited to share with you some new possibilities because of our growth and prosperity. As a part of making our main campus located at 705 Aspen Drive a community hub and after soliciting feedback from a facility expansion committee and community meetings, we have completed conceptual plans for a new recreation center. Substitute/Guest staff are a valuable resource in our schools and support our students when classroom Teachers or Educational assistants must be absent. All Substitute/Guest staff members are able to select the days and schools they would like to work.
