Here's how it works in 3 easy steps:
  1. Click this link to see our SignUp WPR Pool Reservation 
  2. Review the options listed and choose the spot(s) you like.
  3. Sign up! It's Easy - you will NOT need to register an account or keep a password on SignUp.com. All you need to enter is an email address, name and phone number.

Please note:

  • All swimmers for open swim sessions are encouraged to pre-register for scheduled time slots to guarantee a spot.

  • Once capacity is reached for a session, all waiting swimmers will be asked to leave the area.

  • Swimmers are encouraged to arrive in their swimsuits and keep all personal items in a secured bag.

  • Pool entrance and exit schedules will be implemented. All users must depart pool area immediately at the end of a session.

  • All high touch areas will be sanitized between sessions.

Refund Policy

Full Refunds:
Registration fees are 100% refundable when programs are canceled by Widefield Parks & Recreation. The Director of Widefield Parks & Recreation shall have the authority to make decisions on all requests not specifically covered herein.

Refunds/ Withdrawals/Transfers:

  • Withdrawal prior to the registration deadline for the activity will receive the full refund, less a $5 processing charge.
  • Withdrawal between the registration deadline and the start of the program will receive a 50% refund of the fees, IF the participant can be replaced from the waiting list. If there is no waiting list for the program, no refund will be issued.
  • Withdrawal after start of a program will not be issued a refund.
  • A participant requesting to transfer from one class date to another, within the same registration period, must do so prior to the registration deadline of the program in order to receive credit for their original payment.

Refund Options - Refunds can be given in three forms:

  1. Refunded as a credit to the Widefield Parks and Recreation account, which will be available to use on future registrations or activities. This is available for use immediately.
  2. Refund to debit/credit card. (In some instances, the card information may be required at the time of refund.) This generally takes up to two (2) business days to receive.
  3. Refunded in the form of a check that will be mailed.  Your current address must be confirmed at the time of the refund request. This can take up to two (2) weeks to receive.

Please note: For larger parties outdoor pavilions are available to rent. Contact the front office @ 391-3516 for pavilion rentals.

Lifeguard Training

Monday - Friday
March 25 - 29 @ 9am

Ages: 15 & up 
Fee: $180

Looking for a great summer job? Get certified as a Lifeguard! 

This class provides entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over. Participants who successfully complete the Lifeguarding course receive an American Red Cross certification for oxygen administration, valid for 1 year and Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED, valid for 2 years. Participants must be 15 years or older and meet prerequisites. Please note: no refunds after registration deadline.

  • Lifeguard Training Prerequisites:
  • Minimum age: 15 years
  • Swim 300 yards continuously; freestyle or breaststroke.
  • Tread water for 2 minutes using only legs.
  • Complete the following event in 1 minute & 40 seconds: starting in the water, swim 20 yards, surface dive to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point, then exit the water without using a ladder or steps.
  • Completed American Red Cross online coursework: Once you register for this class, you'll receive an email from the instructor with links and login information. You must complete the online portion (approximately 20 hours) of this class before the first classroom meeting.

 

Stroke Clinic

Join our WSI certified coaches for a 3-day stroke clinic! Perfect your technique on swim strokes, turns and starts. For swimmers in grades 6th - 12th.

January 13, 20, & 27
Fee: $60 per 3-day clinic

Mermaid Mania

Mondays & Wednesdays 

Trade your legs for fins and live out your dream of being a mermaid or merman! Participants will learn how to swim with a mermaid tail, perform tricks, and learn mermaid mythology! 

January 29 - February 7 @ 5:30 - 6:30pm

Ages: 12 years & up
Fee: $120 (mermaid skin included)
