Aquatics

• Patrons must possess a membership or pay the daily admission to gain admittance unless attending a scheduled program or event. 

• Children under the age of 12 years must be supervised by an adult unless participating in a Recreation Center supervised program. 

• Youth ages 12 – 14 years must be supervised by an adult to go to the upstairs fitness area unless participating in a Recreation Center supervised program. 

• People 15 years & older may use the fitness area without supervision.

• Appropriate clothing must be worn at all times while in the Recreation Center.

• Food is only permitted in designated areas. Drinks must be in non-glass containers and have a sealable spill proof lid.

• Only certified service animals accompanying persons with disabilities are permitted in the Center.

• Guests should bring their own lock to secure valuables and clothing in lockers. Locks left overnight will be cut, removed, and locker contents placed in lost and found. Widefield Parks & Recreation is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

• Any photography and videotaping within the Recreation Center must be approved by WPR staff and is strictly prohibited in all locker rooms and restrooms.

• Misuse of equipment, behaviors that cause harm to persons and/or property, actions that interfere with the safe and orderly operation of the Center, and/or failure to abide by Recreation Center rules or staff direction may result in loss of privileges and/or suspension from the Recreation Center.

• Management reserves the right to enforce any unwritten rules deemed necessary for the safety and security of our guests and staff.

• A lifeguard must be on duty before entering the pool areas. 

• Proper swim attire is required. No cotton clothing in the pool. 

• Children under the age of 7 and non-swimmers must be accompanied by an adult. Confident swimmers ages 7 and older are welcome to be at the pool without adult supervision. 

• Patrons MUST shower before entering the pool. 

• Street shoes are not permitted on the pool deck or outside pool areas. 

• The Widefield Parks and Recreation Pool is not responsible for lost or stolen items. 

• No running, pushing, dunking, or excessive roughhousing. 

• Food is only permitted in the outdoor picnic areas and foyer. No glass containers. 

• Beach balls and water toys are permitted. Hard balls and water guns are not allowed.

• Unauthorized swim instruction is not permitted.

• Misuse of equipment, behaviors that cause harm to persons and/or property, actions that interfere with the safe and orderly operation of the Center, and/or failure to abide by Aquatic Center rules or staff direction may result in loss of privileges and/or suspension from the Aquatic Center.

• Do not distract the lifeguards. Pay attention to whistles and instructions. 

• Always enter the water feet first and facing forward. 

• Stay off the lane and diving lines. 

• Food, drinks, or breakable items are not permitted on deck. 

• Clear non-glass water bottles are permitted.

• No running, pushing, dunking, shoulder rides, or excessive roughhousing in the pool.

• Unauthorized swim instruction is not permitted.

• Misuse of equipment, behaviors that cause harm to persons and/or property, actions that interfere with the safe and orderly operation of the Center, and/or failure to abide by Aquatic Center rules or staff direction may result in loss of privileges and/or suspension from the Aquatic Center.

• One person at a time. 

• Line starts in the shallow end. If you fall off or make it to the end, you must get back in line. 

• Stay clear of the Wibit when swimming. 

• Stay off Wibit ropes and lane lines. 

• Do not move or shake the Wibit. 

• Do not flip or dive off of the Wibit. 

• Children 52 inches and under are welcome in the Junior Pool. 

• Children 43 inches and under are welcome in the Baby Pool. 

• Children must be within arm’s reach of an adult at all times in the Baby Pool. 

• No diving, running, dunking, or roughhousing. 

• Parks and Recreation lifejackets are for indoor use only. 

• Food is only permitted in the outdoor picnic areas and foyer. No glass containers.

• Proper swimming attire is required. No cotton clothing in the pool. 

• Children in diapers must wear swim diapers. 

• Floors may be slippery due to wet conditions, please walk with caution.

• Secure your belongings in a locker. Lockers should remain locked when left unattended.

• Guests should bring their own lock to secure valuables and clothing in lockers. Locks left overnight will be cut, removed, and locker contents placed in lost and found. Widefield Parks & Recreation is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

• Clean up after yourself.

• Dry, and dress completely before leaving the locker room.

• Photography or videography is not permitted in the locker rooms.

• Children under the age of 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.

• Patrons MUST shower before entering the pool. 

• Street shoes are not permitted on the pool deck or outside pool areas. 

• Locker rooms must be cleared 15 minutes after the end of a swim or fitness session.
