Along with Widefield School District 3, we are proud to present CTE Spotlights. This program will give students in 8th - 11th grade insight into various Career and Technical Education pathways. Demonstrations or hands-on activities in each Spotlight!
Spotlights are located at the MiLL, 4450 Foreign Trade Zone Boulevard and at Widefield High School, 615 Widefield Drive respectively.
Space is limited - registration is required. No fee!
Intro to Automotive - Monday, March 22 @ 10am - 12pm
In this spotlight session, you will learn about car care and small engines. As well as prepare the participants for high school level courses.

MiLL Pathways - Tuesday, March 23 @ 9am - 12pm
In this spotlight session, we will be learning about the educational pathways which are being taught at the MiLL. These will include construction, cabinet making and welding.

Intro to Music Technology - Wednesday, March 24 @ 10am - 12pm
In this spotlight session, we will explore how sound travels, a general overview of the industry standard digital audio workspace called Pro Tools, and explore various ways to use microphones and the basics of a sound system.

Intro to Nutrition/Cooking - Thursday, March 25 @ 10am - 12pm
In this spotlight session, we will have fun getting hands-on in the kitchen and learn about the benefits of proper nutrition.

Career Connected Learning/Financial Literacy - Friday, March 26 @ 10am - 12:30pm
In this spotlight session, you will learn resume building and career readiness. You will also learn about the importance of credit, how to build it along with the importance of building up a savings “Nest Egg”. We will lastly be going over the importance of saving for college, using strategic CD’s, proper usage of debit cards, and how loans can help or hurt you financially. Laptops are recommended.
