Celebration at the Pool
Join us for our FIRST Trunk or Treat! Trunk or Treat will be from 12:30pm - 1pm, right before open swim in the pool parking lot. Come swim with us after Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 28 from 1 - 2:30pm! Please register your party for guaranteed entry!
Fall Fun Day Picnic
Join Widefield Parks and Recreation and experience a picnic with your family while playing Bingo, water balloon games, a circuit race, chalk art competition, and more! Date: Saturday, October 14 @ 11am - 1pm. Location: WPR Green Field. Free fun for the whole family!

Painting P-art-y - 4 Small Pumpkin Paintings
This adult painting class is for beginners and seasoned painters alike. You will be taken step-by-step through four small pumpkin paintings to take home and enjoy. Participants will learn mixing techniques and layering effects. No previous knowledge is necessary. Our art instructor directs you through the painting process to help bring out your inner artist. Every student will walk away with a canvas painting. No need to bring anything with you except your creativity! Date: Wednesday, October 18 @ 6:30 - 8:30pm. Ages: 16 & Up. Fee: $25. Location: WPR Meeting Room. Register by October 13.
Sewing with Ms. P - Blue Jean Packs
Bring in an old pair of jeans, and we will turn them into a bag. You will learn basic sewing skills and create a fun bag to take home and enjoy. You may bring your own sewing machine, but it is not required. Date: October 20 @ 9am - 12:30pm. Ages: 9-17. Fee: $45. Location: WPR Meeting room. Register by October 13.
Crafting with Ms. P - Sock Puppets
Bring 2 long fun socks and we will turn them into a fun creation. Ms. P will provide instruction and a lot of fun stuff to make your own sock puppets. Date: October 26 @ 9 - 11am. Ages: 6-10. Fee: $25. Location: WPR Meeting Room. Register by October 19.
Crafting with Ms. P - Dried Flowers & Seeds Picture
Come and craft with Ms. P to create a piece of art out of dried flowers and seeds. There will be music, good conversation, and fun. Date: November 1 @ 6 - 8pm. Ages: 16+. Fee: $25. Location: WPR Meeting Room. Register by October 25.
Crafting with Ms. P - Patriotic Gnomes
Join Ms. P for this fun adult crafting class and make patriotic gnomes. Date: November 6 @ 8am - 12pm. Ages: 18+. Fee: $45. Location: WPR Meeting Room. Register by November 1.
Play With Us!
Pool Open Swim hours will change on October 1 due to the High School Swim Team! Starting October 1, Open Swim is Friday nights from 5:30 - 7pm and Saturday afternoons from 1 - 2:30pm! Make sure to use our SignUp registration system to reserve your spot!
Teen Diversity Night
All teens need a place where they feel they belong. Teen Diversity Night provides a safe environment for teens to be themselves and come together to experience a safe night of inclusion and fun. Teen Diversity Night is a night bursting with games, arts & crafts, resources, and dinner. Date: Friday, October 13 @ 5 - 9pm at Mesa Ridge High School. Ages: 7th - 12th grade. Fee: FREE. Register by October 12.
Night Owlz
We have openings in Night Owlz! Register your child for a fun night while parents take a well-deserved break from 6 - 9pm! Your child will have the opportunity to splash around in the pool, play games, create arts and crafts, and enjoy a movie to end the night. Pizza, juice, and pudding will be served for dinner. Ages: 7 - 12. Fee: $25. Date: October 13.
Hangout Hub
We have openings in the NEW Hangout Hub on Friday, October 6 @ 6-9pm! Teens will have the opportunity to splash around in the pool, play games, and participate in open gym activities at the new Recreation Center. Pizza, drinks, and pudding will be served for dinner. Ages: 11 - 14. Fee: $25.
NEW Adult Pickleball League
Join our first ever pickleball league! League play starts at 8am every Monday for 6 weeks, starting November 6 at the WPR Gym. League is open to players with a rating of 3.0 and above. Knowledge of the rules are required. The deadline to register is October 29! Fee: $60 per player!
Adult Pickleball Lessons
Come learn the fundamentals of the fastest growing sport in America! We are offering 2-day lessons for $40! Sounds like a great dill! Make sure you register for our beginner or intermediate lessons! Relish the opportunity! Be sure to visit our website’s pickleball page for the full list of session dates. Great minds dink alike!
Adult Coed Indoor Volleyball Tournaments
We offer volleyball tournaments in October and November. The October tournament is our Halloween tournament. Winners receive Halloween themed prizes. Prize also given for the best costume! In November, we host our Thanksgiving Turkey Tournament. Runner-ups receive pies and winners receive turkeys! Make sure to get your team registered for both!
Youth Basketball
Join us for basketball. Games will take place at the WPR Rec Center and at WSD3 schools on Saturdays between January 27 and March 16. Practices will be held on weekdays. Register by January 2. Ages K - 5th grade welcome. Fee: $50 (7 Games)
CARA Basketball Skills Challenge
Showcase your passing, dribbling, and shooting skills! This is a free competition for boys and girls ages 6 - 13 (age as of 4/30/2024) on Thursday, January 11 at 5:30pm at the WPR Rec Center. Register onsite.
6th - 8th Grade Volleyball
Middle schoolers are invited to play volleyball this winter. Games are on Saturdays between February 3 and March 16. Register by January 7. 6th - 8th Grade welcome. Fee: $40 (5 Games)

Personal Training
Book our new one-on-one personalized Personal Training sessions (1 hour sessions). We have 4 different packages you can choose from starting at $188 for once a week sessions for one month. See our registration page for full pricing details.
We also offer a one time, free 30 minute Personal Training session where you can meet one of our Personal Trainers, discuss training methods, your goals, previous experience and any questions you may have! Register online now!
Martial Arts - November & December
With martial arts as a foundation, participants have the opportunity to develop self-awareness and self-confidence. GOJU-RYU KARATE is a comprehensive martial art derived from the Okinawan system of self-defense. Participants of all skill levels can benefit from this program by relieving stress, help with weight loss, coordination, balance, flexibility, stamina, and assist in self-control. Dates: Mondays & Wednesdays in November/ December 13 @ 6 - 7:30pm (No class December 18, 20, 25, or 27). Ages: 7 and older. Fee: $97.50. Location: WPR Rec Center Fitness Room
Yogi Kids - November & December
An introductory youth yoga class with focus on relaxation, fun, and movement! Yoga is a great activity to start at a young age; it enhances flexibility, strength, coordination, body awareness, and confidence. Dates: Wednesdays in November & December @ 5 - 5:45pm. Grades: Kindergarten - 5th. Fee: $36. Location: WPR Rec Center Fitness Room
Get Certified With Us!
Blended Learning CPR & First Aid
This is a blended learning course that includes an online portion (approximately 4 hours) and an instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion. Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a digital certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years. Each participant must have a unique email address to obtain credit for the course. Please do not use the same email address for multiple registrations. Date: Saturday October 21 @ 9 - 11am. Ages: 12+. Fee: $75. Location: WPR Meeting Room. Register by: November 13.
