We have moved!

Widefield Parks and Recreation offices and daily operations have moved to the new WPR Recreation Center. We are currently open from 5:30am - 8:00pm, Monday - Friday and 7:30am - 4:00pm on Saturdays, to help customers at 755 Aspen Drive.

Fall Fun Day Picnic
Join Widefield Parks and Recreation for our Fall Fun Day Picnic! Enjoy numerous free activities that are fun for the whole family! Experience a picnic with your family while playing Bingo, water balloon games, a circuit race, chalk art competition, and more! Date: Saturday, October 14 @ 11am - 1pm. Location: WPR Green Field

Painting P-art-y - Colorado Columbines
This adult painting class is for beginners and seasoned painters alike. You will be taken step-by-step through a Colorado Columbines painting to take home and enjoy. Participants will learn mixing techniques and layering effects, no previous knowledge is necessary. Our art instructor directs you through the painting process to help bring out your inner artist. Every student will walk away with a canvas painting. No need to bring anything with you, except your creativity! Date: Wednesday, August 30 @ 6:30 - 8:30pm. Ages: 16 & Up. Fee: $25. Register by August 28. 

Sewing with Ms. P - Shopping Bags

Take some time for yourself and join us for sewing, good conversation and music. We will be making 2-sided shopping bags that fold up into a neat little pocket. There will be many materials to choose from. Date: Saturday, September 16 @ 9am - 12:30pm. Ages: 18 & up. Fee: $45. Register by September 8. 

Play With Us!

Summer Open Swim Hours are extended! Join us for our summer open swim hours until August 11! Prices are now daily rates and are $6.50 for children/seniors and $7.50 for adults! Purchasing daily admission does not guarantee you spots for the full day, each swimmer must sign up for each desired session for the day as it is first come, first serve. Use our SignUp registration system to reserve your spot! See our website for Open Swim Hours membership options. 

Join us at the pool for our last Sunday of the summer season on August 6! We will have open swim from 1 - 2:30pm and from 3 - 4:30pm. Make sure to register everyone in your party on SignUp!

The Pool hours will be changing on Monday, August 7! The pool will now open at 5:30am for an earlier lap swim time! Check out our membership flier and website for our daily, monthly, and annual membership pricing. 

Fall Pool hours will start on Saturday, August 12. Open Swim will be Monday through Friday from 3 - 4:30pm, Friday nights from 5:30 - 7pm, and Saturday afternoons from 1 - 2:30pm. The pool will be closed on Sundays. 

Adult Pickleball Lessons

Come learn the fundamentals of the fastest growing sport in America! We are offering 2-day lessons for $40! Sounds like a great Dill! Make sure you register for our beginner or intermediate lessons! Relish the opportunity! Be sure to visit our website’s pickleball page for the full list of session dates. Great minds dink alike! 

Adult Softball Leagues

Make sure to register your team for our upcoming fall softball leagues. The COED league will play on Mondays and Men’s league will play on Tuesdays. $450 to register your team for a 10-game season. Registration ends on August 20. Limited spots available!

Adult Recreational Coed Indoor Volleyball Leagues

If you want more opportunities to get on the courts, socialize, and play, our fall coed leagues are for you! We offer recreational and competitive leagues on Tuesday nights. Competitive league is $300 and recreation is only $180! Games will be held in our NEW Rec Center! Be sure to get your team together and register by August 6!

Adult Coed Indoor Volleyball Tournaments

We also offer Volleyball tournaments in October and November. Our October tournament is our Halloween tournament. Winners receive Halloween themed prizes. Prizes also given out to the best costume! In November, we host our Thanksgiving Turkey Tournament. Runner-ups receive pies and winners receive turkeys! Make sure to get your team registered for both!

Fall Adult Cornhole League

Fall cornhole league will be held at the WPR lower pavilion on Wednesday evenings. This is a self-officiated league for teams looking to have fun, socialize and sink a few bags! Only $40! Make sure you get in to register before August 6!

CARA Cross Country

Don’t miss this chance to compete in cross country meets against other youth throughout Colorado. Meets will be held on Saturdays at locations from Denver to Fort Collins (participants are responsible for transportation to and from meets). The season will take place between September 5 and October 14. Fee: $40.

Youth Indoor Soccer

Join us to play soccer as the weather changes. Games will take place on Saturdays between October 21 and December 9. No practices except the time allowed before games. Register by September 18. Ages 4 yrs - 5th grade welcome. Fee: $40

Youth Volleyball

Join us to play volleyball this fall. Games will take place on Saturdays between October 21 and December 9. Register by September 18. Kindergarten - 5th grade welcome. Fee: $50

Get Fit With Us!

We have many fitness classes to choose from, check us out! View our current schedule or pick one up at the pool or WPR Recreation Center.

New classes! We are now offering Bungee Fitness classes, MixxedFit, Youth Zumba, and Beginners Yoga (starting August 17). View our website for information about these classes, including dates and times!

Martial Arts - September & October  

With martial arts as a foundation, participants have the opportunity to develop self-awareness and self-confidence. GOJO-RYU KARATE is a comprehensive martial art derived from the Okinawan system of self-defense. Participants of all skill levels can benefit from this program by relieving stress, help with weight loss, coordination, balance, flexibility, stamina, and assist in self-control. Dates: Mondays & Wednesdays in September & October @ 6 - 7:30pm (No class September 5, October 23, or October 25). Ages: 7 and older. Fee: $105. New Location: WPR Rec Center

Yogi Kids - September & October

Join us for introductory youth yoga classes that focus on relaxation, fun, and movement! Yoga is a great activity to start at a young age; it enhances flexibility, strength, coordination, body awareness, and confidence. Dates: Wednesdays in September & October  @ 5 - 5:45pm. Grades: Kindergarten - 5th. Fee: $48. New Location: WPR Rec Center
