WPR Recreation Center

Construction Update
The WPR Recreation Center construction is still on schedule with a tentative grand opening to the public in mid-July. Interior finishes, paint, and locker rooms are complete. Mechanical systems are nearly finished and will be operational in the coming weeks. As the building is taking shape, WPR staff are getting excited about all the opportunities the new space will have to continue to serve the community at a high level. New programs and new events will be coming this summer and fall. Follow the construction progress by visiting the WPR Recreation Center information page on our website.

Impact of Construction
During the twelve month construction period, our campus will see several impacts. Parking lots, road ways, and sidewalks will have changes and improvements. This will make the campus easier to navigate and more accessible. Unfortunately during construction, some areas will be closed off and parking will be limited. The new recreation center and campus roadway improvements will allow us to better serve the community’s needs in the future. We apologize for the temporary inconvenience.
